New Co-Lab craft-beverage collective to share production space, equipment and split-level, indoor-outdoor tasting room in Vista.

Called Co-Lab Vista, the collective will see three breweries, a winery, and an on-site food vendor sharing an indoor-outdoor tasting room where guests will have access to all of their wares.

Co-Lab will house three breweries, a winery, an eatery, and tasting areas within its 12,500 square-foot industrial unit off of Route 78.

Going by the name Co-Lab and conceived as a proof-of-concept for a replicable model its brewery tenants will include Oceanside-based Breakwater Brewing, Barrel & Stave Brewing (which will be headed by standout homebrewer Chris Banker) and OC transplant Laguna Beach Beer Co.

Co-Lab Vista (Vista): Construction is live on a sprawling two-story, 11,500-square-foot collective where its tenants' beer, wine and food will be available in a shared dining room and out-front patio.

In fact, the City recently welcomed Co-Lab Vista, a first-of-its-kind shared brewery, winery and restaurant facility, which opened amidst the pandemic this year.

Barrel & Stave will also be one of the local brewers taking part in Co-Lab Vista, a two-story brewery hall that will feature several brewery booths, food vendors, games and indoor and outdoor seating areas.

The Co-Lab location will be Laguna Beach Beer's fourth and first south of Orange County.

The latter's Co-Lab Vista presence will mark its entrance into the San Diego County craft beer market.

As previously reported, a company with Orange County roots—Barrel & Stave Brewing—will be touching down in San Diego County care of the Co-Lab Vista incubator project.

Co-Lab Vista - which revives an old industrial center originally built in the mid-1970s - is also expected to bring more visitors to the city while boosting surrounding businesses.
